For those of you SMU fans….. the last picture is not an illusion. That is a jam packed stadium, filled to the brim with school spirit. It was quite a sight to behold.
A group of us spent this past weekend in Lubbock, Texas to watch the Red Raiders take on Nebraska. And boy did they ever. If you didn’t get a chance to catch the game, you can recap here. It was only one of the most exciting games I’ve ever attended. Leave it to Mike Leach to keep us all on our toes.
Other than the game, we spent the rest of the weekend traveling down memory lane (or at least Michael did while I listened). I’ve been to Tech a few times before (although 4th of July weekend didn’t really count– back me up, Becky) but this time I finally got to see the places talked about only in legends. Cagle’s, The Recovery Room, Crickets, Jazz, and Josie’s to name a few.
Although I was sad to miss out on festivities at home (hope it was a blast, Lindsay!), we couldn’t have had more fun.
And before someone else calls me out on sporting Texas Tech gear– Who says a girl can’t have pony ears and guns? That sounds like the definition of a true cowgirl to me….
